Straight from the city of Los Angeles the entertainment capital of the world, The Del-York Creative Academy received its faculty of lecturers of global renown as they touched down at the Murtala Mohammed International airport in Lagos for the DCA 2021 in-campus program.
As Nigeria’s creative industry experiences a paradigm shift that has made the sector a mainstay of the nation’s economy, Del-York Creative Academy has once again set the stage for aspiring creatives to live their dreams and set their career on an upward trajectory.
Sanwo-Olu in his special remarks to the gathering stated that the project was one he was personally passionate about as it involved certain pillars of the Lagos THEMES development agenda of education, technology tourism, and entertainment that he believed could improve
the fortunes of the state at the individual and macro levels using the creative industry and young people as a strategic weapon.
The aim of the initiative is to make Lagos a destination for a skilled, well-trained workforce for the creative industry, thereby boosting the state’s economy as the sector continues to thrive.
The initiative, ‘Creative Lagos’ is championed by the Office of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, under the stewardship of the Commissioner, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf; she gladly announced that the flagship program was set to kick off in the first quarter of 2021
