Linus Idahosa is an international businessman, social entrepreneur, and visionary thought leader. He has founded organizations that have championed various initiatives to drive innovation in Media, Entertainment, Youth Development, and Global inclusiveness. His passion for building bridges between continents has led to him advising governments across Africa on policies and strategic initiatives for national development in Africa.
He is the Founder and Chairman of the Del-York Group International; an emerging conglomerate that consists of companies spanning the Media, International PR, Strategic Communication, Technology, Security, Education, and Specialized Infrastructure development industries. His strategic communication firm and creative agency, Del York International represent a vast global network of government clientele, development agencies, and Fortune 500 companies with strong ties and offices in the United States, West Africa, and London.
His firm has facilitated the production and strengthening of country investment relationships like the first-ever Nigeria-China Governor’s Investment Forum held in Guangzhou, China. Del-York group continues with a longstanding tradition of forging strategic relationships with major United States entities and institutions like the New York Film Academy, the University of Southern California, and Leidos (formerly SAIC).
In the year 2021, Del-York Group signed two partnership agreements with major United States entities, first with Huffine Global Solutions, a US conglomerate with a presence on six continents, and the second with Storyland Studios, a multidisciplinary design, and production firm behind some of the biggest names in the theme parks and attractions.
As a leading advocate for Africa’s Creative Economy, Linus has a track record of actively promoting the role of vocational skills acquisition in reducing unemployment, closing the skills gap, and empowering the teeming population of young men and women on the African continent. This fervor led to the establishment of the Del-York Creative Academy (DCA), a foremost capacity-building institution on the continent, with an international faculty of lecturers from Los Angeles, New York, Lagos, and London. In the last decade, DCA has trained over 3000 students across the film and creative industry value chain. This has been granted through the award of scholarships and heavily subsidized programs made possible by his personal financial commitments and partnerships with public and private sector operators.
Linus graduated from the University of Benin with a 2nd Class Upper degree in Philosophy and Public Diplomacy. Linus holds two honorary doctorate degrees from the prestigious London Graduate School, Albion College, and the University of Belize and a Graduate Certificate in Media and Film.
Linus Idahosa avows, “that the greatest weapon you have to change a nation is creativity,” and this valuable theme amongst others is resounding in his continuous life’s work.
