The ceremony highlighted the hard work and growth these students achieved during six intense weeks of training, showcasing the dedication and skill that define DCA.
The event was a mix of elegance and excitement, led by outgoing graduates Ovie Omo Destiny and Feyisayo Shonowo, who served as Masters of Ceremony. They embodied the creative brilliance and industry readiness that DCA instills in its students.

Industry leaders Victor Sanchez Aghahowa, Head of Production, West Africa, for Multichoice Africa and Chairman of the Edo State International Film Festival, and Timendu Christine Aghahowa, Writer and Editor, added depth to the event with their speeches. Victor encouraged the graduates to be innovators and challenge industry norms, while Timendu emphasized the importance of using constructive criticism for growth, highlighting DCA’s commitment to developing resilient creatives.
The evening reached its peak with the premiere of the students’ projects, which included a lively music video and a compelling short film titled “In the Shadow of Wealth.” These works demonstrated the high level of talent that DCA cultivates, thrilling the audience and hinting at the promising careers ahead for these new filmmakers.
As the ceremony drew close, the graduates received their certificates from their instructors. Acting for Film & Television Instructor Mr Iyke Okechukwu, Directing & Cinematography Instructor Mr Solomon Essang, and Producing & Business of Film Instructor Mrs Ewoma Luther-Abegunde each expressed pride in their students’ accomplishments, underscoring DCA’s role in nurturing the next generation of creative leaders.
