COURSE CONTENT

Students will learn how to create a world, evoking emotion and overall getting the audience to care enough to take the journey and see it to the end.

How to use words as your medium, students of the writing intensive will explore the processes of visual storytelling by working with other writers to create scripts

Through a series of technical and writing exercises, students will learn about structure, characterization, dialogue, subtext, subplots, exploring themes and exposition by utilizing established screenplay formats.

The course will involve studying great films and scripts

Participating in critiques and the writing and revising of original material.

COURSE OUTCOME

At the end of the workshop, students will become a confident practitioner in all areas of writing and will develop an insight into professional working practices.
